Gretchen Bechard M.S.Ed.,CCC-SLP

ASHA Certified Speech Language Pathologist

I am an American Speech and Hearing Association certified, Maine-licensed, speech and language pathologist with advanced training in orofacial myofunctional therapy. I have been a speech and language pathologist since 2019 and have been practicing orofacial myofunctional therapy since 2021.

My expertise includes diagnosing and treating children, teens, and adults across a variety of settings. I am passionate about collaborating with families and individuals throughout their speech and myofunctional therapy journey, especially as they navigate frenectomies, sleep disordered breathing, and speech sound disorders.

I was born and raised in the small town of Lake George, New York and received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. I then went on to receive my Master of Science in Education in Communication Sciences and Disorders from The College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York.

Following my graduate program, I packed up my things and moved across the country to the Golden State of California. I worked as an outpatient speech and language pathologist serving the San Diego community until 2021 when I transitioned to servicing all of California and New York through online speech and myofunctional therapy. That shift opened my eyes to just how effective therapy can be when people practice new skills in the comfort and context of their everyday environment.

When I am not working you can often find me traveling the world, spending time by the ocean with a good book, doing pottery, or hanging out at my local yoga studio.
